Subject Overdiscussed, Yet Sensible.

Have we gone out of our mind?

“The verdict of Lina Joy case have been upheld in favor of the National Registration Department”

“Lina what!?, Lina Joy or Lina Teoh?”

Just in case of you lazy news-paper readers are still blurred over my case reference, yes Lina Joy a former Muslim converted Christian have a request to change her Religion status pursuant to her new pro-found belief.

What’s the big deal some may say, we should be proud when an individual found their true believer, one less lost soul. However, read my lips, this case of an individual attempting to convert has made headlines over the past 3 days.

Source from www.thestar.com.my

It even took Pole Position at the Most Viewed Column at The Star Online News today.

Anyway, let’s look at this issue outside the box, how possible can a mere daily operational issue face by the NRD be a headline and needing a clarification by the Prime Minister himself on the political exertion over the decision made by the Court? Never on earth over my wildest imagination would I ever come to a point whereby the Politician have a say over a person’s religious right, so for god sakes stop spreading rumors! Let me remind you folks that by accepting a religion, it should be a good and relief thing, why has all this attention and rejection by authorize department exert so much pressure, attention, and frustration over a citizen? Was it a bad decision made by the authority, or was the case not brought up to the rightful people before her application was approved or disapproved?

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz said “What is the point of keeping a person a Muslim if they no longer believed in the faith and made that publicly known?” Bravo! That totally made sense to me.

I have not read news abroad, by I am sure it has drawn some limelight over the issue. My fellow decision makers, we cannot control what people say or write, but we definitely can see it coming, unless we are pure ignorant. Lina Joy, I respect that you have found your path, screw it, if you can get it changed, I honestly believed its what you do that matters as all religion teaches us the right traits and belief, anyway our MyKad is not so useful as at today.

As for people whom are not happy over her conversion, why not go look for people whom have not upheld the religious belief, misused, misinterpreted, or spend time educating people within your jurisdiction and stop sticking into Personal Human Rights, please respect what we do and we will return it, this is called mutual respect.

I believe ANY religion in the world teaches the believers to be good. One shalt not condemn another as belief strenghten one's soul and one's will. And if it brings no harm to another, I seriously think one has no right to stop a being to choose what she want to believe in, as at the end of what she'll learn is too becoming a good soul. Petty issue as such can be published as headlines, no doubt this tells how ready we are in the pace to becoming a developed nation.
